I was asked to design a logo for the Cuyahoga Falls High School Prom 2013, with the theme as "Under the Sea". I started out with 3 options and they wanted more variety so I ended up make six. Go figure. It was hard working with a committee of juniors, because they were still figuring out decorations for the event to match the logo. There were a lot of different opinions conflicting within the group so its been sometime waiting for a decision. Hopefully they will pick one today so I can make tickets and posters and get some free tickets.
My favorite design I did was the deep sea diver helmet, with the old school font, but the person I am working with prefers the mermaid dress.
A lot of them are different fromfun like the clownfish and the clam to the formal limo in seaweed and couple option.
Well, I hope it goes well. That last sentence sounded weird.
Besides that point, I let you know whats happens with it later.

Trip to NYC
Well my the Marketing Class Trip to NYC was probably the most fun and eye opening event of my high school career. There was so much the class went to, like some of the basics of Time Square, World Trade Center, Fifth Avenue, and "Top of the Rock" at Rockefeller Plaza. I have to say what was the most fun, was the ability to just roam around New York with everyone at a fast pace and a lot of energy. Not just in Time Square but Chinatown, Brooklyn, and Little Italy.
One of the highlights was seeing Spiderman: Turn off the Dark on Broadway. The cable-fighting was pretty big time, along with the amount of work that was put into making the show.
Everyone separated to different groups on a marketing visit, and I went to B-Reel Digital Design firm that deals with clients like Arcade Fire, Google Glasses, and the London Museum of Science. The Office space was ridiculous with its views, ping-pong table, and a dog running around. They truly did amazing work, and I hoped they would give me a job, but I guess it takes a week or so to process stuff. I don't know. The most breathe taking sights was the Brooklyn bridge. There was just so much movement in the city, but the bridge just seemed like everyone stopped and just looked at the city itself.

My favorite is of my friend who dressed up as Buddy the Elf in Central Park and rode a cruiser around. Pretty cool shit.
I just hope that everyone in all I.M.D.D. and Senior and Junior Marketing get along and hang out like we all did in NYC. (Probably not, but you never know)
Holiday Card
Holiday Card
The design I made for the holidays was play on the fact on how much people stress about the holidays. Everyone has wrapped that present and have had the paper just too short for it too fit. So I put profanity marks around the almost wrapped present and just told people to Relax... It's the holidays.
This design comes in white, red, green and blue with my logo on the back.

Last Stop for One Stop Prom Shop
March 3rd, 2013, from 11a.m. to 3p.m., occurred one of the most successful marketing events that I will every be a part of. The One Stop Prom Shop was a trade show that brought all the services and shops you would need to have an awesome prom. The show took 6 months of prep which included booking vendors, to orchestrating the assembly to capture an audience. This was all done by juniors and seniors in marketing education at Cuyahoga Falls High School.
When it came down to the week before the show, everyone was scrambling to get the last minute prints and last logistic details to put on a successful show. By Saturday afternoon, all the setup and materials were done.
We had 60 vendors at the show with American Commodore as the title sponsor. At the show we had a fashion show, American Commodore Dancers, and the Morph Dance throughout the event. Along with 60 raffle items, which included a $500 VISA Gift Card, and a fully paid prom for 2. There were a lot of people right off the bat. In fact, our counters gave up keeping track after the first 20 minutes. There was new casts and even a visit from the Mayor of Cuyahoga Falls, Don Robart. As the event was calming down, I took a time to reflect on what it took to get to where we were at now.

1 Stop Prom Shop Harlem Shake
Tuesday, February 12, 2013
OSPS
Readers, I have talked earlier about the One Stop Prom Shop event happening on March 3rd, 2013.
Just a reminder the One Stop Prom Shop is a venue event that places all the regional prom needs at the Natatorium in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. It is a big marketing event that gives people going the event to get all there prom needs with ridiculous deals.
Along with discounts from vendors like American Commodore, Bella Bronze, Laserquest, and Hungry Howie's pizza, there is raffles that give away gift cards, free limo ride, free tux, free dress, and tons more. If you happen to be lucky to get a wristband and wear it to the One Stop Prom Shop, you have a chance to win a free Prom which includes all your prom needs.
This event is put on by the Senior Interactive Media and Digital Design Class, Senior DECA, and Junior DECA Marketing Class. The IMDD Class is working on the Morph promotion, the Video Promotion and formatted the promotional assembly for local schools like CFHS. The Morphs are the brand character of the One Stop Prom Shop with 12 morph characters ready to dance at any moment. The Senior Marketing Class has been working on the Social Media promotion, an the Game Show promotion during the assembly. The Junior Class is in charge with dealing with sponsors, the setup and schedule of the One Stop Prom Shop, and running the assembly and the event. All three classes have been cooperating to create a huge marketing event that ranges from viral videos to billboards.
This is huge event and is a benefit to anyone who comes to the One Stop Prom Shop so I hope to see you there, whoever you are.

Alright, this may be a little late to comment on, but Black Friday remains the shopping day for the Christmas season, but you don't have to fight anyone for your daughter's baby doll that poops and cries. Black Friday has turned into a online competition.
Pay Pal increased six-fold from Black Friday from 2010 to 2011 for online purchases along with global online payment companies growing four-fold over the same period. With more and more people getting comfortable with online shopping, retailers are focusing the big marketing sales to the computer.
This still didn't stop midnight shoppers for black Friday as shopping in stores jumped from 3.5% to 9.9%. Blame it on inflation or recent economic growth, but Black Friday continues to grow.
